To the Empire Cheer "Columbus Day Classic" to be held Saturday, October 7, 2017 at R.I.T.'s Gordon Field House.
This Competition is open to all teams and is designed to be a friendly, competitive tournament to show case the talents of cheerleading teams in upstate New York.  In the past, we have enjoyed performances from teams in the Buffalo, Syracuse and Rochester areas.  Our last tournament had competitors from over 80 teams!  We hope you will join us for this action packed day on the beautiful Rochester Institute of Technology Campus.  

Doors will open at 9:00 and we will begin the competition at 10:00 with our youth Division!

Spectators - $8.00  
Coaches - 2 coaches from each team will be admitted free of charge

Open to all age groups in Youth, High School and All Star teams.
Routine must be no more than 2 1/2 minutes long with a cheer and dance portion.
It must contain jumps, partner stunts, pyramids or tosses, dance and tumbling.
Megaphones and signs may be used, entrance and exit will not be judged.
National Federation Rules must be followed.

HIGH SCHOOL VARSITY TEAMS - We will be using the State Score Sheets with Level of Difficulty

Open to all high School Juniors and Seniors.
Routine may be no longer than 1 1/2 minutes long with a cheer and dance portion.
Must contain at least 2 jumps and you may enter in the "Tumbling" or Non-Tumbling" division.
Your team must be competing in the tournament and National Federation Rules apply.

We will be using a 9 panel mat with the center marked.
Divisions will be assigned according to enrollment and squad size.
Performance order will be determined randomly.
Whirlin' Disc DJ will be there.  Locker rooms will not be provided.
We will not b e responsible for lost or stolen items.

All teams will receive a trophy!
Each team member will receive a ticket for drawings throughout the competition.
